WOO HOOO, Orlando here we come! and we're thrilled!

HOLY SHMOLY!!!!! We did it! We finally made it to the finals of this competition. You know? The one I blogged about earlier but couldn't give any real details. That was part of our terms and conditions. We waited for what seemed like an eternity, and once we got the call, we were told not to say anything. It took all we had to not spill the beans. It seemed like everyday we were waiting for some new news. We are so excited to meet the other finalists. They all seem so fun and creative that it is bound to be a good time. So here's the deal. They set up a conference call with all of the finalists. On the other end were the PR guru's that put this whole brilliant contest together. We log in and wait, yet again, while listening to some pretty crappy music. What we mean is, an epic musical piece would've been appropriate, the star wars theme or maybe the song from Braveheart. No, we got to listen to something off of Kenny G's "Elevator Classics". But we digress. We all listen eagerly as they explain the rules and such and then BOOM, they drop the itinerary on us. One of the gurus tells us that we will be on a 67 hour trial run, pretty much interviewing for the job. All 10 finalist couples will have arrived in Orlando by Sunday early afternoon. We will be driving to Orlando from Palm Harbor, but some of the finalists are lucky enough to fly in and be greeted with a big sign with their names on it and balloons, a dream come true allegedly. First, we will take a personality test YIKES and then we get to have a meet and greet BBQ pool party with everyone involved. Monday and Tuesday will be jammed packed with various attractions, one being indoor skydiving, along with interviews and media activities. The next day involves a theme park, we don't know which one yet, and a dinner. Then some VIP thingy, not too sure on the details on that but we will definitely keep you posted. Where will we be staying from Sunday to Wednesday? They were nice enough to get 2 Venetian style vacation homes for all of us. Five pairs in one house and 5 in the other. We are encouraged to bring whatever we need to let you guys in on the adventure, cameras, laptop, cellphones. A day by day and up to the minute play by play to keep you guys in the loop. That's our job, that's what they want, that's what you deserve ..and we plan to do just that.
